Toasted Cheese Sandwich with Bacon and Pear Recipe

A tasty sandwich stuffed with pears and bacon

A tasty variation on the classic sandwich.

Ingredients

Cooked bacon
1 x Pear
White cheddar cheese
Butter which has been softened and is spreadable
Sliced French or Italian loaf bread

Recipe Instructions

Heat a cast iron skillet to medium heat.

Make the sandwich.
Make the sandwich by layering on top of each other; a slice of bread, pear slices, bacon and to end another slice of bread. Spread the top slice of bread with the butter.

Toast the sandwich.
Place the sandwich on the skillet with the butter facing down. Now spread butter on the top slice of bread facing out. Let the sandwich cook for 1 minute and then turn it over with a spatula. Use the spatula to press down on the sandwich while cooking on the other side. Once the sandwich is browned on each side and the cheese has melted it is done. Cut the sandwich in half and serve.

    In the toasted pear, bacon and CHEESE sandwich why is no mention made of what to do with the cheese ? It just says “when the cheese is cooked” …….

    DERRRR PLACE CHEESE IN SANDWICH THEN TRY MELTED
    INSTEAD OF COOKED IT’S BLOODY LOVELY.!!!!!
