Chicken and Pear Salad with Feta Cheese Recipe

An appetizing pear and chicken salad

This salad is proof that meat and fruit make a delicious combination.


2 ripe pears, thinly sliced
1 baby lettuce
1 avocado, halved and sliced
200g feta, sliced or crumbled
2 skinless chicken breasts
½ cup olive oil
3 tablespoons aged balsamic vinegar
Pinch of dark brown sugar
Sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper
Chives to garnish

Recipe Instructions

Make the dressing.
Mix together the vinegar, oil and sugar and season to taste. Set aside for later use.

Cook the chicken.
Cut the chicken breasts into thin slices and cook under the grill for 5 minutes turning once. Ensure that the chicken is cooked all the way through.

Prepare the salad.
Wash the lettuce leaves and place them onto serving plates. Layer the pear, avocado, feta and chicken onto each of the serving plates dividing it equally. Pour over the dressing and garnish with chives.
