Ingredients
For the crumble:
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup flour
¼ cup butter
½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese
For the pie:
6 cups peeled and sliced pears
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
½ cup brown sugar
¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Preheat the oven to 200C
Make the crumbs.
Mix together the flour, brown sugar and cheddar cheese. Add the butter to the mixture and combine until it looks like coarse crumbs.
Make the filling.
Pour the lemon juice over the pears to stop them from browning. Mix together the brown sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon in a separate bowl then toss the pears with this mixture.
Make the pie.
Place the pears into the pie crust and top this with the crumble mixture. Place this in the oven and bake for 45 minutes until golden.
