500g apples; peeled, cored and cubed
1 medium red onion, chopped
500g pears; peeled, cored and cubed
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
60ml white vinegar
1 piece fresh ginger, grated
Cook the ingredients:
Heat the oil in a saucepan over a medium-high heat. Toss in the pears, apples, onion and ginger and sauté the mixture for 10 minutes, stirring regularly, until the mixture starts to soften. Add the sugar and the vinegar and stir well. Reduce the heat and allow the mixture to simmer for 50 minutes until it is thick.
Remove from the heat and set aside to cool. Only serve once fully cooled.
